Hot! Check the new Apple IPhone that will be produced in 2017 Super cool!!

Apple is developing a glass enclosure for a new iPhone with an AMOLED display to be unveiled in 2017, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities, reportedly said this week in a note to investors.

That would be a return to the design of the iPhone 4 and 4S, which highlight both had glass casings.

The use of the AMOLED display will to compensate for the greater weight of a glass back of the device, reportedly said Kuo.

Not more than 40 percent of iPhones are made with aluminum bodies after the glass product is launched, he predicted.

Apple has a lot of experience with the use of glass in the iPhone 4 line, Kuo noted, dismissing concerns about the glass envelope is damaged in a fall.

The new iPhone will have curved panels on the front and rear and a 5.8-inch screen. The glass enclosure is to provide a point of differentiation of the competition, Kuo said to be said.

THE MAIN STORY

However, "the big story here is Apple's decision to a phone built around a new AMOLED display," said Wayne Lam, one of the principal analyst at IHS. "The housing design is simply a consequence of that decision."

AMOLED would let Apple "something interesting to do with wraparound displays, and therefore will give them a glass material flexibility in making continuous curves on the back," he told TechNewsWorld.

People should not put too much stock into the suspicions surrounding the housing material, because "it is a 2017 phone [and] Apple to lock still more than 12 months in the industrial design with their choice of materials," a Lamb cautioned.

Apple "could go to glass back, but I can not imagine doing anything else, such as picking up sapphire glass for durability or add in wireless charging," he said. "However, the premise of the new display will. Everything else falls behind that in terms of design criteria. Glass is just one option they can play."

In 2014, Apple was awarded a patent for an all-glass iOS device.

It would use transparent semiconductor technology to see-through device, speculated Mike Judge, program manager atStratecast / Frost & Sullivan.

Actually Apple is not the only company to make a cell phone with glass front and back panels. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 smartphone lines have glass front and back panels separated by a metal frame. Lenovo unveiled a full glass smartphone, the S850, 2014.

"An all-glass apparatus was a great idea a few years ago when it would have been the only one," said Ramon Llamas, a research manager at IDC. "But now, some suppliers have gone that route, so the point of differentiation is not quite as strong as it would have been several years ago."

Also, "what can you do with a full glass phone that you can do it before?" He told TechNewsWorld. "A carrier is a carrier is a carrier."

It's possible that Apple could offer a full glass phablet-sized device, "the last time they did glass support for the iPhone was for regular-sized devices," Llamas said. "But most people will still cover the back with a case."

The real magic "is still at the front of the device," he added.

Afraid of Falling off

Despite the claims Kuo, sustainability will be a group with a full glass case, Frost Jude told TechNewsWorld.

"No matter how heavy the glass technology, it's never going to be as durable as a metal frame device," he said. "If Apple uses this approach, it can count on a greater loss and replacement rate."

That said, however, an all-glass iPhone "would be a very high fashion cachet," Jude said. "Apple lovers would definitely love a glass phone. It might even attract non-Apple users.
